The FMB aims to provide knowledge, professional advice and support for its members. It works in partnership with other industry companies to provide technical advice and promote high standards.
FMB registered builders demonstrate their quality to the best customers. Unlike other membership organisations, the FMB’s badge of quality must be earned as you must first pass a strict vetting process and independent inspection of your work. This helps reassure clients of your commitment to quality and high standards.
We are TrustMark - the only UK Government-Endorsed Quality Scheme for work carried out in and around the home. We are passionate about quality and assurance and what that means for homeowners and our Registered Businesses.
Since we started in 2005, we have been working to help drive-up standards across the industry and improve the protection offered to homeowners when having work done. We’re a not-for-profit business which means we can focus on our customers – homeowners and tradespeople - and not on shareholders.

NAPIT is a leading Government approved and United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) accredited membership scheme operator in the building services and fabric sector. There are currently more than 16,000 NAPIT registered installers in the electrical, heating, plumbing, ventilation, microgeneration and building fabric trades across the UK domestic, commercial and industrial markets.
